No, I like your theory. Even if it's unsupported, it makes sense.

[Rose doesn't want to admit that she doesn't pay as much attention to the network as she should, she's usually too busy keeping her communicator buried in her jacket or a jumper as she searches the ship, and therefore misses a lot. So she sounds pretty shamefaced, even as she tries to support Clara's idea.]

I mean, two jumps in a row makes sense. How could it not, if there's someone here with the number and none of the rest of us remember anything, maybe he just slipped on in right at the only safe second, and the rest of us just stayed asleep?
